FAQ About Freedom Clamp
How do I adjust the Lunderg Freedom Clamp?
We recommend testing all included stabilizer pads first to find the combination that feels best—Freedom includes 2 top pads (V-Cut and Curved) and 3 bottom pads (Traditional, Wide, and Urethra-Target) so you can fine-tune comfort and leakage control. Then use the Pro-Hinge (top-down pressure system) together with the ladder-lock to dial in the lowest comfortable pressure that works. Place the clamp midway down the shaft (not too close to the base or the tip), close it, and tighten gradually until you get control without discomfort.
Does it have any metallic parts that can rust or beep in detectors?
No. The Freedom Clamp is made from ABS/PC and medical-grade silicone and is metal-free, so there are no metal parts to rust and it’s designed to avoid triggering metal detectors.
For how long can I wear the clamp?
Wear time varies by person and should follow your clinician’s guidance. As a general best practice, we recommend removing the clamp every 2–3 hours to urinate, give the skin a break, and check comfort and circulation. Always remove and re-adjust immediately if you notice pain, numbness, tingling, coldness, or discoloration.
What does it come in the box?
Your Freedom Clamp set includes the Freedom Clamp, 5 removable stabilizer pads (2 top + 3 bottom), a user manual, and a storage/travel bag.
