FAQ About Chair Alarm
How does the chair alarm work?
The chair sensor pad alerts the caregiver right after the person stands up from a chair/recliner/wheelchair. It connects wirelessly to the monitor.
Can I connect more than one device to the same pager?
Yes. One pager can be paired with up to 3 compatible devices—for example bed sensor pads, chair sensor pads, and/or a call button—so you can expand coverage without adding another monitor.
Can I change the alert style (loud, low, or silent)?
Yes. The portable pager has high and low volume settings plus a vibration-only mode, so you can choose what works best for daytime, nighttime, or discreet caregiving.
What is the range of the pager device?
We measured in open spaces, and it should cover a minimum of 400 feet (122 meters). Note that indoors, the building layout and materials will affect the distance you can receive.
What is the sensor pad lifespan?
The chair pad is designed to last 15 months. The sensor-pad batteries are not rechargeable or replaceable, so the pad should be replaced at the end of its lifespan for reliable detection.
