How does the “Early-Alert” feature work?
Our Early-Alert system is designed to detect movement that happens before the person fully stands up, so you’re alerted earlier than “standard” bed pads that only alarm after weight is removed.
Will the person feel the pad under the mattress?
The under-mattress design is made to be quiet and comfortable, with no crinkling or rough texture—so most users don’t notice any difference while sleeping.
What is the range of the pager device?
We measured in open spaces, and it should cover a minimum of 400 feet (122 meters). Note that indoors, the building layout and materials will affect the distance you can receive.
How long do the sensor pads last (lifespan)?
Our under-mattress bed sensor pad is designed for a lifespan of about 24 months, while the chair sensor pad is designed for about 15 months. After that period, we recommend replacing the pad to maintain reliable detection and caregiver alerts.
Can I connect more than one device to the same pager?
Yes. One Lunderg pager can be paired with up to 3 compatible devices at the same time—for example, bed alarm sensor pads, chair alarm sensor pads, and/or a call button—so you can cover multiple locations with one caregiver monitor.
Can I change the alert style (loud, low, or silent)?
Yes. The portable pager has high and low volume settings plus a vibration-only mode, so you can choose what works best for daytime, nighttime, or discreet caregiving.
Can I clip it on or mount it?
Yes. The pager is lightweight and designed to be carried (pocket/clip) and also includes a wall-mount bracket option.
What mattresses is it compatible with?
For the under-mattress system to work properly, the mattress should be 13 inches thick or less. Also, the under-mattress + chair bundle is not compatible with Sleep Number air-adjustable mattresses.
Where should I place the under-mattress pad?
Place the pad under the mattress at hip height, with the “Early-Alert” side aligned with the edge of the bed. Then set the mattress back on top and wait for the pad to settle (typically seconds to a couple minutes depending on mattress type).
How does the chair alarm work (in the combo set)?
The chair sensor pad alerts the caregiver right after the person stands up from a chair/recliner/wheelchair. It connects wirelessly to the same monitor.
Can I pair more than one sensor to the same monitor?
Yes. The monitor can manage up to 3 compatible devices, which is helpful if you want to expand coverage (for example: bed + chair + an additional compatible sensor).
What’s included in the box? Do I need to buy batteries separately?
The system is a complete caregiver kit (pad(s) + monitor), and we include batteries so you can set it up right away.
